CB-C71 MacOS Big Sur

My San Disk Extreme Pro 1TB SSD keeps disconnecting after updating my 12 inch mid 2017 Intel Core m3 MacBook to MacOS Big Sur.
My mechanical HDD stays connected with no issues, the ssd works fine with an amazon basics usb-c adapter, the issue only occurs while using the ssd through the hub, a message that i should eject the ssd before disconnecting pops up and the ssd is no longer accessible after a while it appears again without me doing anything.
Reseting the SMC and NVRAM did not solve the issue, tried different cables but the issue persists.
Please help.
