Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the game literally taking the world by storm, is causing quite a stir across social media. With the likes of ‘Elijah Wood’ from Lord of the Rings visiting unsuspecting islands.
One has to wonder, why is this game so popular?
In a Coronavirus world, where half of the population is in some form of lockdown, it offers friends and families a way to escape the current life they have and go to a greener, cleaner, happier place - to fish, chat, play or simply garden for Turnips.
I personally haven’t played it, but with it’s popularity spiking, and it holding a form of social bonding for those that cannot meet friends or partners due to the virus, I wonder how popular it is with our Community.
